The Central Tendering Committee Bureau was founded in the Spring of 1996. Its main
function is to administratively follow-up all tender documentation which exceed
JD 10,000 that are requested by the Hashemite University / Purchasing and Supplies
Dept.
a well as building construction.
The Royal Commission
of the
Hashemite
Universitywas the prime decision maker and sole responsible body for all tenders,
documentation and activities.
It was until May of 1998 that the
Central Tender Bureau was given the full responsibility by the Hashemite University/Purchasing
& Supplies Dept. to carry out these duties. The Bureau then undertook its first
meeting on Oct. 3, 1998 with all its members.
In the Fall of 1998, A Tender Committee
Bureau was established for the supervision of all the duties that are to be accomplished
by the Central Committee.
The Bureau is also accountable for filing and revising all the
special records, reports and information, be it tenders or advertisements related
to the Central Tender Committees activities.
