Grading System
The
Hashemite University
has adopted the figure system since the academic year 1997/1998 instead of the score
system. According to this system, the average degree is calculated out of four points
as in the following :

I. The average degree is calculated by multiplying the scores of each course by
the number of credit hours for each course include in the average ; and this total
is divided on the number of the credit hours.
II. The semester degree
average is the total average of the courses scores taken by the student in that
semester.
III. The accumulative degree
is the average of all the course scores that the student has got.
IV. The semester degree
average is multiplied by the near two decimal ranks.
